Senior’s Helpful Hints will continue on my blog because
I think it is essential to have the right tools at your disposal.
These tools help the Senior with every day life. But, it is completely your choice.
I have used these tools, and I found them to be very helpful. So, Seniors…
Going Way Back
I think the first can opener was a hand tool that people twisted and turned, not with the arthritic in mind.
Next came the electric can opener. Good but, you could easily cut a finger or two with the sharp edges it provides when taking the top off a can.
The electric can opener is not useful for Seniors who like to camp and fish unless of course, you have an electric outlet hiding in your pocket. So, dollar to doughnuts, you carry a can opener that twist and turns.
Here’s The Newest Can Opener
In the past 12 months I have been using,” Handy Can Opener One Touch.”
This is a can opener to end all the oldies but not so goodies in the home and out.
It is so easy for the Senior to open a can of paste, sauce or veggies and add it to a meal.
You place the Handy Can Opener, on top of the can, press a button and let it go.
It will open the can. Wait until it finishes and shuts off automatically then,
lift the One Touch can opener and the top of the can comes with it.
The top of the can easily comes off with no chance of cutting one’s fingers.
Thanks Professor Tiger!
Finally, someone with some brain power came up with a can opener that you set on top of a can and watch it open the can magically.
Well, not really magically, but, with batteries.
Batteries will last up to one year if you put them in new. Saves electricity as well.
When I need to open a can, this helpful tool is used. No mess and above all no stress!
This is my helpful hint for today.
